Joint Counselling for DTU, IIIT D, IGDTUW: For the first time three major institutes in Delhi,Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Delhi) and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) will conduct a common counselling process for admission to B.tech courses. The joint counselling website (jacdelhi.nic.in) will be activated by next week. Online registration of courses will start in first of July. Students will have to fill a single form for three institutes. It is expected that around 15,000 students will participate in the joint counselling. Because of this joint counselling student will be saved of the trouble of attending multiple counselling sessions in each university. Next year, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT) are also likely to join the process of combined counselling. The initiative will prevent students from holding seats in two institutions at a time and will also save students paying fee at three universities.
Admission Criteria: Total marks obtained in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2014 and normalised score in Class 12th as provided by JEE (60% & 40% weightage respectively).
Along with 10 bonus marks for Olympiads, Procon Junior programming contest, National Talent Search scholarship, sports chess, culture.
